Who we are

Emerson Hospital’s Corporators are innovators, leaders and active members of their respective communities, and they play an important role in encouraging participation in and educating our communities about the hospital’s services and activities. They also give the hospital valuable feedback and communication, helping us identify the best ways to contribute to the communities we serve.

Corporators are elected to a three-year term each spring and are nominated by hospital staff, board members and other Corporators.

Corporators benefit from programs and discussions, specifically designed to provide them with an in depth look at hospital services, strategies, clinicians and more.  In agreeing to be a Corporator, individuals sign a contract confirming they will act as an ambassador and advocate to their communities and the hospital, to be an active volunteer, and to make Emerson Hospital a philanthropic priority.

To learn more about the Corporator program at Emerson Hospital or to nominate an individual, please contact the Development Office.

Founded in 1911, Emerson Health is a full-service, regional medical center headquartered in historic Concord, Massachusetts.

Emerson provides advanced medical services to more than 300,000 people in 25 towns. We are a 179-bed hospital with more than 300 primary care doctors and specialists who care for everything from arrhythmias to wound care.

Our core mission has always been to make high-quality health care more accessible to those who live and work in our community. To further this mission, Emerson has health centers in BedfordMaynardWestfordGrotonSudbury and Concord.

In addition, we have opened new urgent care centers in Hudson and Littleton.

Emerson is well known for its outstanding nursing care and patient-centered specialty facilities, including the Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital - Bethke, the Dr. Robert C. Cantu Concussion Center, the Clough Surgical Center and the Clough Birthing Center, home to the area’s only Special Care Level 2 Nursery for moderately ill newborns.

While we provide all of the services that most patients will ever need, our strong clinical collaborations with Boston’s academic medical centers ensures  streamlined access to world-class resources for patients requiring more advanced care.
